1.) a good detail can create an interesting story
1a.) that story may not be that important when finished.
2.) when you have a ton of ideas built up but not developed: then you STILL have to write them down until you get a road block.
it's like: practice golf 5 times between each game.
3.) good writers can make trite shit interesting.
4.) good editors spend way too much time rehashing the same story that really isn't that good of a story.
5.) good story tellers don't have to go that extra mile to learn craft [at the hobby level].
